Something has to change.

The current Child Maintenance Service (CMS) is not fit for purpose, and must be investigated for fraud, predatory and dishonest behaviour – and aiding and abetting vexatious litigation. There is no consistency, no transparency and absolutely no accountability.

The CMS should:

Be not for profit

Use current, live, variable, accurate NET income figures

Payments should be capped at £7 per week for equality – anything over this should be voluntary

Encourage 50/50 contact

Not be facilitated as a weapon

Not take advantage of conflict between parents

Not be payable whilst one parent is actively stopping the other parent seeing their child

Not be payable whilst child contact is the subject of family court

Where the resident parent is not allowing 50/50 contact & the non-resident parent is wanting and able to facilitate 50/50 contact, cases should be immediately closed.

Legal fees for child contact should be a deductible expense
